The Office of the City Administrator envisions a dynamic and innovative local government administration.

As provided for in Section 480 (b) (1-5) of the Local Government Code of 1991, the Office of the City Administrator has the following mandates and responsibilities:


a) Develop plans and strategies, implement the same particularly those which have to do with the management and administration-related programs and projects…;

b) In addition to the foregoing duties and functions, the city administrator shall:

(i) Assist in the coordination of the work of all the officials of the City Government, under the supervision, direction, and control of the City Mayor…;

(ii) Establish and maintain a sound personnel program for the city government…;

(iii) Conduct a continuing organizational development of the city government…;

c) Be in the frontline of the delivery of administrative support services…;

d) Recommend to the Sangguniang Panlungsod and advise the City Mayor on all other matters relative to the management and administration of the city government; and
e) Exercise such other powers and perform such other duties and functions as may be prescribed by law or ordinance.
